The programme will allow for professional development across a range of subject matters following an award being made to help boost your impact as young leaders. Recognizing and building the next generation of leadership in Environmental Education, elevating the voices and stories of young leaders representing a wide range of perspectives and EE approaches.
Since 2016, the North American Association for Environmental Education's (NAAEE) EE 30 Under 30 program has recognised 210 individuals from 42 countries who are making a difference through environmental education, made possible by support from the Global Environmental Education Partnership (GEEP). In the past 2 years we have had 2 successful candidates from Northern Ireland make the EE 30 Under 30 class.
We believe it is now time to invest in and celebrate the unique and passionate leadership of talented young leaders across our country and give them a professional boost to increase their impact. Therefore we are launching Northern Ireland's 30 Under 30 Climate Change Makers Class of 2022/23. Each year our awardees will join a growing alumni network of inspiring environmental education leaders and receive ongoing opportunities to network, grow professionally, and promote their work. This program is made possible by The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs and we would like to thank the NAAEE for guiding us on this pilot.
